Magna Carta flows off the tongue just as sweet as its Moscato. The brand name is brilliant for a wine of its calibre and it was the brand name that caught our attention. Magna Carta Wines was brought about by a desire to put the focus back on nature. Magna Carta Wines, a name which encapsulates Mphumeleli Ndlangisa's vision of setting grapes free as accomplished by the Magna Carta Charter of 1215AD that freed the slaves of the Feudal System in Britain has a background story so beautiful that it needed a brand identity to compliment every contact point.

Magna Carta is a small-batch, natural wine label based in Stellenbosch. We produce delicate wines with a focus on fruit expression and balanced structure. Our mission is to nurture a natural wine drinking culture that awakens the palates of new and old wine drinkers alike. All our wines are made to be profoundly expressive and lighter in alcohol. The aim is to have the grapes tell their story without any interruptions from unnnecessary additives.

Magna Carta Wines deserved a brand identity that would compliment and portray the story behind the name. The colour scheme is simple and direct.
